Color Swatches

Of course, one way to match paint color is with a color swatch. We have a collection of color swatches to help them match paint colors. It all depends on choosing the closest shade in the swatch. Each of these colors is assigned a color code. This also helps paint technicians identify which colors in stock are good candidates for an exact match. It takes time and experience to complete the process.
When the color is matched using the color samples, the test strip is sprayed using the cardboard. This can be dried and placed against the vehicle that needs to be painted. If this match is perfect, the paint is then sprayed on the repaired area.

Spectrophotometer

Spectrophotometers have come into use in recent years. It is a tool that measures and matches colors using a computer process. It measures the colors of colors based on how it sees the color spectrum. This can take the guesswork out of manually selecting chip colors from color swatch collections. However, it may still require a painter's keen eye to add the metallic elements that cause the shimmer. This tool is a nice gadget that some shops can use to speed up the process of choosing the right color. It is always a matter of mixing samples, which are then harmonized with the original color. This is mainly because the color of the paint will change slightly after it dries completely.
